Education:
PhD in Plasma Physics, University of Antwerp, Faculty of Sciences, Mar 2018
Master in Fundamental Physics, specialty on plasma physics, Sorbonne University Pierre & Marie Curie, Paris, France
Ph.D. thesis title: Modeling of microwave plasmas for carbon dioxide conversionShort biography:
Antonin obtained a PhD degree in Plasma Physics at the University of Antwerp in 2018 on the modelling of microwave CO2 plasma discharges. During his PhD, he authored or co-authored 7 papers in international peer-reviewed scientific journals in the field of plasma numerical modelling. He later worked in Industry as a technology engineer in Atlas Copco on the development of numerical simulation algorithms applied to various mechanics and flow dynamics problems. He has experience with the development of Matlab–based scientific codes and algorithms, both for academia and industry.
Antonin joined the Institute and the ALTIUS team in September 2020.
His role is to contribute to the development of scene generation and atmosphere chemical composition retrieval algorithms for the ALTIUS mission in the different observation modes. He is also supervising Master thesis and Master internships on ALTIUS.
